グリーンストーンはオープンソース・ソフトであり、協力のためにコミュニティのデベロッパーを募集しています。新規のデベロッパーはregisterでなければならず、developers' guideをチェックアウトしなければなりません。
協力者は自己のオンラインの開発ツールを使用ください。それらはdevelopers' mailing list the trac source code browser, the trac bug database, そしてブログの technical categoryなどが含まれます。
グリーンストーンのソース・コードは subversion repositoryのバージョン制御のもとに置かれています。

r42423 by anupama @ 7.53 pm, 6th NovemberTwo changes Kathy discussed: as doc level fq_* meta is going to be reused in each section, can run the is_subcollection_doc() on it in advance to prepare the results to copy and paste into each section and at doc level. Only write out fq_*:1 not when 0, as storing and searching through extra stored data is only more work and the partition drop downs only search when values are set to 1.
