Introduction
This workshop will promote the development and sharing of digital library collections using the freely available Greenstone Digital Library software, developed at the University of Waikato and sponsored and promoted by UNESCO.

- 11:00–12:15 Lab: Accessing example collections; building simple collections
- 12:15–13:30 Lunch
- 13:30–14:15 Lecture/demonstration: Adding and using metadata; bibliography collections
- 14:15–15:00 Lab:Adding metadata, building an image collection, a collection of MARC records
- 15:00–15:30 Tea
- 15:30–16:15 Lab: Build your own collection
- 16:15–16:45 Lecture/demonstration: Advanced features: customizing collections; creating a CD-ROM
- 16:45–17:15 Questions, discussion, wrapup
- 18:00 (optional) User-pays dinner with other workshop participants and Greenstone team members
