Several weeks ago I rebuild Greenstone 2.80 on a Fedora 9 virtual machine.
As I recall I ran the gli and I loaded a large collection and built it.
Today I have tried to start the gli and I am now getting IOException errors
when I try to load the gli.

A summary is:

.../classinfo.pl: cannot execute

.../plugininfo.pl: cannot execute

Failed when trying to parse: Webdownload
...
.../downloadinfo.pl: cannot execute

Failed when trying to parse: MediaWikidownload
...
.../downloadinfo.pl: cannot execute

Failed when trying to parse: OAIdownload
...
.../downloadinfo.pl: cannot execute

Failed when trying to parse: Z3950download
...
.../downloadinfo.pl: cannot execute

Failed when trying to parse: SRWdownload
...
.../downloadinfo.pl: cannot execute

After several more lines I get a Done! message, but alas nothing appears.

I've tried to search the archive but not found anything. Any help would be
gratefully received.
